They Died By Heroin
To all of those that have lost someone to heroin, other drugs, disease or at the direct hands of another human, I hope you find some comfort in my next few sentences. Sure it hurts and death is a function of life that claims us all now or later. Remember that we are not just here as a cause and effect of some chemical things that transpired on earth billions of years ago. We were and are, all put here deliberately and with purpose. Matthew 10:28 reminds us; “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” So even if a being turns your loved one to drugs or death by their hands… They may kill the body, but there is much more that transcends our fleshly shells. None of our stories end here with this life and body; and our spirits do record our lives.
God also spoke to mankind, even before Jesus was here in flesh. “That even the numbers of hairs on our heads are counted.” Matthew 10:20 And that “God knew us before we were here…” Jeremiah 1:5 God will know us and does, before we get there as well. If you are feeling low in faith, remember this is all temporary… live the fruits of this life and eat and partake until you have reached your rind and your days are done here, there is more.
God also advised that the dead shall have no knowledge of events under the sun ever again once we leave this physical life. Take peace in that and that we are not confined here as some kind of distortion, shadow or memory of who we were in a ghostly state, which can never happen. That we do indeed move on to something more! And that our loved ones are gone on to something better (depending on how they lived) and that they are NOT trapped to observe us here and have to deal with that pain and agony that they have to watch us, but can no longer take part. God has moved them on and this life, pain, events and all. Has been erased away from them in their final peace and glory.
Will our souls reconnect with them in someway again after this life? Well… that is an unknown to us. Perhaps they have been reborn into another family or state of existence somewhere. In that case, I would think they would know as much as any of us do now, about who and what we did in our last life. If that is how it all works. Words and thoughts given to me this morning to share… Give praise and glory, to the lamb of Man.
